Our charming cottage, minutes from a dog-friendly beach and nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, in the small peaceful seaside hamlet of Trusthorpe, offers you the perfect seaside holiday home experience. We are proud to have achieved 5-star reviews from all our guests since we opened in the summer of 2020, and we promise you won’t be disappointed!

Sandpiper Cottage is a spotlessly clean, sunny, detached bungalow, which is extremely spacious, comfortable and welcoming, being maintained by the owners, Val and David, to a very high standard.
Midway between Sutton-On-Sea and Mablethorpe on the Lincolnshire coast, Sandpiper Cottage is perfectly situated for exploring all the area has to offer, and is only a short drive to a host of Lincolnshire’s many attractions.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the conservatory while planning your day, or watch the sun go down with a glass in hand on the patio.
Sandpiper has ample off-road parking for two cars in the drive and has secure garage storage for cycles.
Sandpiper Cottage offers two large, airy double bedrooms – one kingsize with an ensuite shower room (with sink and toilet), and the other with twin beds, adjacent to our sparkling, fully-tiled family bathroom.
Both bedrooms have comfortable beds with quality bed linen and comfy pillows. Along with plenty of storage space, personal safe, hairdryers, smartphone chargers/alarm clocks, etc., there is everything you could need for a perfect holiday.
The large, modern and well-equipped dining kitchen has everything you need to cook a great meal, and includes an electric Hob and new electric double Oven, Fridge/freezer, Microwave, Air Fryer, filter Coffee machine, Dishwasher and Washer/dryer. A door from the kitchen leads into our conservatory, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable alternative eating and relaxing area, looking out onto our pretty, private, and secure garden.
Move through into our cosy lounge with two comfy leather recliners and sofa, feature fireplace, and a 55” Samsung Smart 3D TV with Now TV, Netflix, Sky Sports, Amazon & Freeview available free to our guests. Complimentary ultra-fast free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the property.
Through French windows, the lounge leads onto a private terrace with a bistro table and chairs, where you can enjoy your morning coffee whilst planning the day’s adventures. There are sun loungers and beach towels available.
Hi! We’re Val and David. We have been visiting Lincolnshire for many years, both with our grandchildren, who love the beach and the buzz of the nearby resorts, and also to play golf at the marvellous golf courses the county has to offer.
When we finally decided that we would like a permanent base there – preferably close to the sea, and found Sandpiper, it was love at first sight! Attempting to see travel through your eyes has been almost as much fun as going somewhere new ourselves. Every part of your holiday experience matters to us. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, which our guests comment on time and again in their reviews.

Trusthorpe is the ideal base for discovering the Lincolnshire coastline alongside other coastal towns such as Chapel St. Leonards, Sutton-on-Sea and Mablethorpe, with attractions nearby. The traditional larger seaside towns of Skegness and Cleethorpes are a short drive away with lots to keep the family entertained, providing an array of shops, cafes, funfairs & amusements, restaurants and pubs to enjoy.
Trusthorpe also offers an ideal base to explore the nearby characterful little market towns of Louth, Alford, Horncastle and Spilsby, with so much to offer the interested traveller, in addition to the several coastal nature reserves for those interested in bird-spotting, and dog walking.

Places to Eat and Drink With (Or Without) your dog
Thanks to the popularity with tourists there are plenty of good places to eat in the nearby villages. We have a list of those eateries which we patronise ourselves, and can recommend to our guests, all of whom are dog friendly, and which list we make available to our guests prior to arrival. In nearby Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe there are numerous cafes, takeaways, coffee shops, sandwich bars and of course the ubiquitous fish and chip shops!
Once your booking is confirmed we can now take payments online securely via Stripe.
